Lane closure
Construction will resume in 2026 on the North Dakota side of the river. Motorists can expect to encounter lane closures in both directions near the Red River bridge along I-94 in Fargo-Moorhead starting May 18, lasting for three weeks.

Project summary
The Minnesota Department of Transportation will install fiber communications along Interstate 94 in Moorhead to provide overhead message boards and cameras for improved traffic management. Portion of the work will take place just west of the Red River bridge in North Dakota in 2026, after the completion of the Red River bridge resurfacing project.
