Plan for periodic stops on Hwy 10 in St. Cloud overnight June 20–21

ST CLOUD, Minn. –The Minnesota Department of Transportation advises motorists traveling on Highway 10 overnight in St. Cloud June 20-21, to be prepared to stop and wait for up to 15 minutes as crews deliver and set bridge beams for the future westbound Highway 23 bridge over Highway 10.

The closures will occur overnight between 11 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, and 5 a.m. Wednesday, June 21. Each of the seven 84-feet long concrete beams will be delivered and set into place over Highway 10. State Patrol will be on site to direct traffic and assist the contractor. Drivers should watch for directional signs as they approach Highway 23 in St. Cloud and be prepared to slow down or stop.

For your safety and ours, remember that sight distances lessen in the night hours. Watch for workers, signs and equipment. Highway 23 will remain open to one lane, each direction, on the eastbound bridge.

The schedule is weather permitting. To avoid delays that night, consider an alternate route.
