Overnight closures on westbound I-94, County Road 10 near Downer scheduled for the week of June 26 for bridge repairs
DETROIT LAKES, Minn. – Motorists traveling on westbound Interstate 94 near Downer (Exit 15) and County Road 10 will encounter overnight temporary closures during the week of June 26, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation. Crews will begin repairs at the overpass bridge, which was hit by the high load of a semi in early May.
The closures will begin at approximately 8 p.m., and last until 6 a.m., for four nights. During the closure, westbound I-94 traffic will be routed around the bridge using the exit and entrance ramps. All traffic on County Road 10 must exit at the I-94 interchange or find an alternate route. Motorists will not be able to cross the bridge during this work.
Each day, after 6 a.m., all lanes will reopen on westbound I-94. County Road 10 will also reopen, but will remain reduced to one lane at the bridge until all repairs have been completed.
