Construction begins Monday, July 10, on sidewalks, curb ramps along Hwy 25 in Green Isle

Subhead

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation will begin constructing sidewalks and ADA-compliant curb ramps along Hwy 25 between Isle Street and Lake Erin Drive in Green Isle on Monday, July 10. The work will add sidewalks to both sides of the hwy and upgrade these areas to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards. During the project, construction crews will work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, Monday through Friday starting on the south side of the hwy. When work is completed in about three weeks, crews will shift to the north side of the roadway until the project is completed.

During sidewalk and curb construction, motorists will encounter occasional single lane traffic and traffic shifts on Hwy 25. Bicycle lanes also will be shifted during the project.

Sidewalk construction will begin on the south side of the hwy at Isle Street and move east to Lake Erin Drive. When completed, work will then switch to the north side of the road between Isle Street and Church Street.

Weather permitting, work will be completed in mid-August.
