Hwy 53 striping near Independence to start July 17
DULUTH, Minn. – Minnesota Department of Transportation will be installing permanent pavement markings on Highway 53 near Independence starting on July 17. This work is following 15 miles of chip sealing on both the northbound and southbound lanes and will last for approximately two weeks. Motorists should expect lane closures during work operations.
