Weekend directional closures of Hwy 77 in Bloomington and Richfield start Aug. 18

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Starting Friday, August 18, the Minnesota Department of Transportation will close southbound and northbound Highway 77 in Bloomington and Richfield. Construction crews will be wrapping up paving work on Highway 77 near the 77th Street underpass in Richfield that remained from MnDOT’s Highway 77 Bloomington to Minneapolis project.

Beginning at 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 18 through 10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, southbound Highway 77 between Highway 62 and I-494 will be closed. Then from 10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19 through 10 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20, northbound Highway 77 between Highway 62 and I-494 will be closed.

While these road closures are in place, motorists can use Highway 62, I-35W, Highway 5, and I-494 as detour routes.

All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather and schedule permitting and subject to change. MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, and slowdown in work zones where workers are present.
