Hwy 1/Hwy 169 milling and paving work to start Aug. 17

DULUTH, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation will be starting milling and paving work on Highway 1/Highway 169 south of Tower. Milling will begin on August 17. Paving will start on August 21. During work operations, motorists can expect single lane traffic with flaggers and a pilot car. About 6.8 miles of pavement will be resurfaced in this project between the Pike River Bridge and Highway 135.
