Overnight closures of Hwy 169 in New Hope/Plymouth begin Sept. 5

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Starting Tuesday, Sept. 5, the Minnesota Department of Transportation will close Highway 169 overnight in both directions in New Hope/Plymouth. These overnight closures, which will continue through 5 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, are necessary so construction crews can begin forming and pouring the deck for the County Road 9 bridge that crosses over Highway 169.

Beginning at 10 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5 to 5 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, southbound Hwy 169 will close between Interstate 94 and 36th Avenue from 10 p.m. through 5 a.m. nightly.

Then from 10 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7 to 5 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, northbound Highway 169 will close between Interstate 394 and 49th Avenue from 10 p.m. through 5 a.m. nightly.

Motorists can use I-94, I-494 and I-394 as detour routes during these overnight closures.

All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather and schedule permitting and subject to change. MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, and slowdown in work zones where workers are present.
