Southbound Interstate 35 single lane traffic begins Sept. 14 in Chisago and Washington Counties

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, crews will conduct daytime preventative maintenance work on southbound Interstate 35 between North Branch and Forest Lake beginning Sept. 14.

Beginning Thursday, Sept. 14 southbound I-35 will be reduced to a single lane between Highway 95 and Highway 8 daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Crews may also work on Saturdays as needed. The daily lane closures for this work are expected to end by mid-October.

All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather dependent and subject to change. MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution and slow down in work zones where workers are present.
