In-person public meeting for the Highway 3 Farmington/Empire study will be held Sept. 19

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation invites residents and businesses from Farmington, Empire, and surrounding areas to participate in an in-person public meeting for the Highway 3 study.

The study will identify possible safety improvements for motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists. It will help MnDOT develop guidance for cities, Dakota County, MnDOT, Metropolitan Council, landowners, and developers on desired changes to access and future access locations on Highway 3 between 160th Street in Empire and Second Street in Farmington. The concepts will be evaluated to determine if they adequately address the corridor’s needs. These concepts are currently unfunded.

The public meeting will have an open house style format and guests may attend at any time Tuesday, Sept. 19 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Farmington City Hall, 430 Third Street, Farmington, MN 55024

Attendees will be able to view and comment on concepts that may improve Highway 3 safety.

MnDOT invites and encourages participation by all. If you need an ASL, a foreign language interpreter, or other reasonable accommodation, or need documents in an alternative format (such as braille or large print), please email your request to Janet Miller at ADArequest.dot@state.mn.us or call 651-366-4720.
