Innovation Road/Keats Avenue bridge repairs begin Oct. 15
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, crews will start repair work on the Innovation Road/Keats Avenue Bridge over Highway 61 in Cottage Grove on Oct. 15.
Beginning Sunday, Oct. 15, southbound Highway 61/Highway 10 will be reduced to a single lane nightly from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. near the Innovation Road interchange and detoured onto the Innovation Road/Keats Avenue off and on ramps for six consecutive evenings. Southbound Highway 61/Highway 10 will be reopened to two lanes each morning. Northbound Highway 61/Highway 10 will not be impacted by this work.
Southbound Innovation Road/Keats Avenue Bridge over Highway 61 will remain closed during this work.
The Innovation Road/Keats Avenue bridge was hit by an over height vehicle last month making these repairs necessary. This work is the first stage in the bridge repair and is anticipated to be completed by Oct. 21.
All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather dependent and subject to change. MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution and slow down in work zones where workers are present.
