Hwy 71 near Sanborn closed for railroad bridge work starting Dec. 11
MANKATO, Minn. The Minnesota Department of Transportation advises motorists that Highway 71 near Sanborn will be closed Dec. 11-14, weather permitting, as the Canadian Pacific Railroad makes repairs to the railroad bridge.
The railroad bridge was hit and damaged by a piece of farm equipment earlier this year. Highway 71 will be closed as crews set a new span across the bridge.
Motorists will be detoured to Highway 14, Brown County Roads 2 and 21, and Redwood County Road 11.
