MnDOT to share design alternatives for Olson Memorial Hwy in Minneapolis at community workshops in March

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation will host two community workshops in March to share design alternatives for Olson Memorial Highway. Both workshops will be held in person at locations near the study area.
The first workshop will be on Tuesday, March 12 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Bethune Community School, 919 Emerson Ave. N. in Minneapolis. The second workshop will be on Tuesday, March 26 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Summit Academy OIC, 935 Olson Memorial Highway in Minneapolis.
During these interactive workshops, attendees will be able to provide feedback in-person on alternatives, which are design concepts, MnDOT has developed on what a future Olson Memorial Highway could look like. There are no formal presentations planned, and MnDOT encourages the public to come and go on their own schedule within the times provided.
MnDOT is also inviting feedback on these alternatives in an online survey. The survey will close Sunday, April 7.
MnDOT is studying Olson Memorial Highway between Border Avenue and the bridge west of Thomas Avenue. MnDOT is doing the study to better understand the long-term needs of the community and explore long-term options that benefit the surrounding community and people who use the highway. The study will use technical analysis and input from the community on their transportation needs, existing experiences, and desires for the future of Olson Memorial Highway.
