Bridge inspections to require lane closures in Duluth starting April 7

DULUTH, Minn. –The Minnesota Department of Transportation will be conducting routine bridge inspection work in Duluth starting on April 7.

On Monday, April 7, motorists can expect a ramp closure from 40th Avenue West to southbound I-35 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

On Tuesday, April 8, motorists can expect a portable traffic signal on West Superior Street as inspections take place on the bridge over the I-35 onramp from Mesaba Avenue. Work is expected to take place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

On Wednesday, April 9, a left lane closure on the bridge over West Superior Street to Hwy 194/Mesaba Avenue will be in place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Traffic travelling from Superior Street will not be able to access the Mesaba Avenue during the closure.
