Expect delays as Highway 210 roadwork moves east through Baxter June 9

BAXTER, Minn. – Travelers on Highway 210 through Baxter should prepare for delays as roadwork continues and moves eastward between Timberwood Drive and Baxter Drive on Monday, June 9, advises the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Here’s what to expect:

  • Changes to local access: follow directional road signs along the north or south frontage roads or seek own routes:
    • Cypress Drive: Westbound left-turn lane onto South Cypress Drive will close for up to two weeks
    • Inglewood Drive: Highway 210 access closed in the median through mid-June
    • Memorywood Drive: Highway 210 access closed in the median through mid-June
  • Timberwood Drive and Baxter Drive: Weekday lane closures with reduced speeds on both directions of Highway 210 through early July
    • Overnight lane closures in mid-June while crews resurface Highway 210

MnDOT reminds travelers to always slow down when approaching a work zone, then navigate through with care and caution. Stay alert and minimize distractions; work zones constantly change.

When complete in early July, motorists will benefit from a smoother road surface, updated drainage, and improved access and safety along Highway 210 through Baxter.
