Lane closure for concrete repairs on 41st St NW postponed to Oct. 27-31 in Rochester
ROCHESTER, Minn. – Concrete repair work on westbound 41st Street NW in Rochester is postponed for one week due to signal equipment damage at a nearby intersection, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
A traffic signal box was damaged during the weekend by a crash. MnDOT is repairing the box this week.
Next week, westbound motorists on 41st Street NW will encounter a lane closure as they cross over Highway 52 in Rochester Oct. 27-31 while MnDOT bridge maintenance crews repair concrete.
The right westbound lane will be closed, so westbound traffic will be narrowed to a single lane across the bridge. Eastbound traffic will remain two lanes. Additionally, the northbound outside left-turn lane onto 41st Street NW will be closed. The north side pedestrian crossing over Highway 52 will be detoured to the south side.
Daily westbound traffic backups are possible during heavy travel times.
The concrete repairs are at the edge of the bridge and will then need several days to cure or strengthen before traffic can drive on it again.
