One-day road closure, detour in downtown Cannon Falls Nov. 4

Roseville, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation announces a one-day road closure and detour for paving work in Cannon Falls along Highway 20 from Main Street to River Road, from 5:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday, Nov. 4.
Crews will be paving the area from Main Street (Highway 19) to River Road as part of a street surface improvement project. Temporary striping will also be added to the roadway, with permanent striping to be added in spring 2025.

To ensure safety and facilitate the construction, the road will be fully closed to traffic, with a signed detour along to Dakota County Road 86 and Main Street (Highway 19).

All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather dependent and subject to change. If weather does alter the planned completion of this project, it will be finished in spring 2025.
