MnDOT to host April 16 open houses for Highway 19 reconstruction project in Marshall
WILLMAR, Minn. – The Minnesota  Department of Transportation invites the public to attend an in-person  construction open house on Wednesday, April 16, to learn about the upcoming  two-year Highway 19/College Drive reconstruction project in Marshall. Two open  houses will be held at the Marshall–Lyon County Public Library, 201 C Street,  Marshall, one geared toward the business community and one designed for  everyone.
        MnDOT, City of Marshall, and R & G  Construction staff will be available at both open houses to answer questions  and provide details about the construction phasing of the project. There will  not be a formal presentation; both meetings are open house style where folks  are welcome to stop by at their convenience.
      
Information about the upcoming 2025 Highway 23 bridge project near Green Valley  will also be available at both open houses and project staff will be on hand to  answer questions.
      
Construction open house for businessowners and staff

This  open house is designed to help businessowners and their staff learn when  construction will take place near them and how customers can readily access  their business. In addition to MnDOT and City of Marshall staff, businessowners  can visit with  Marshall Area Chamber of Commerce staff and meet their R  & G construction business liaison.
      
Construction  open house for everyone

This  open house is for everyone who would like to meet with project staff to learn  about the construction phasing, detours, and how to get around town during the  two-year project.
      
Project  summary
        The  Highway 19 reconstruction project includes replacing pavement, sanitary sewer  and watermain; constructing a single-lane roundabout; and updating sidewalks  and pedestrian ramps to improve accessibility. Work will take place in stages  during the two-year project to minimize travel impacts. The contractor is R  & G Construction, and the approximate cost is $25.7 million.
