MnDOT to host May 20 virtual public meeting for the Highway 7 study from Hopkins to St. Bonifacius

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation invites the community to attend a May 20 virtual public meeting to learn more about design alternatives for improving safety and mobility on Highway 7 from Hopkins to St. Bonifacius.

The meeting will be held virtually from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 20. Register on the study webpage to attend the virtual meeting. The virtual meeting will include a presentation and a question-and-answer session.

Members of the public can learn more about the alternatives by visiting the study webpage and can provide feedback using an online survey until Tuesday, June 3. If members of the public are unable to attend the virtual meeting, a recording of the meeting will be posted to the study webpage.

MnDOT started this study in March 2024 after a road safety audit was conducted on Highway 7 from Highway 100 in St. Louis Park to County Road 33 in Hollywood Township from November 2021 through June 2022. The audit recommended that a full planning study be completed to understand transportation needs and identify future improvements that address safety and mobility. The design alternatives were developed using the current conditions of the road, study area needs, public feedback from a 2024 survey and findings from the road safety audit.
