Red River Valley bridge rehab project begins May 4
Bemidji, Minn. – A bridge improvement project on several Red River Valley bridges will begin on Monday, May 4 according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation. Motorists should expect a short-term detour, lane closures, reduced speeds, and possible delays.
This project is led by North Dakota Department of Transportation. Construction will begin May 4 and is expected to be completed in late October. Work on each bridge will occur concurrently.

- Detour includes ND Hwy 59, Interstate 29, ND Hwy 5, MN Hwy 175, Kittson CR 16, Kittson CR 6, Kittson CR 12, MN Hwy 75 back to Hwy 171
- (Highway 175 bridge will open to traffic in both lanes during this time)
