Public encouraged to share insights to shape accessibility improvements along Hwy 52 in Rochester
ROCHESTER, Minn. – The public is encouraged to share their thoughts on an online comment map about areas along Hwy 52 in Rochester that need accessibility improvements, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The MnDOT project team is planning improvements along Hwy 52 in Rochester from 75th Street to the Mayowood Road Bridge. These improvements will help sidewalks, curb ramps trails and other walking areas meet current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards so people of all abilities can travel safely. People can help the project team identify places that need improvement on an online comment map by Sunday, June 14.
People can also share their insights in-person on Wednesday, June 10, 4-6 p.m. at the MnDOT Rochester headquarters (2900 48th Street NW, Rochester, MN). Attendees will be able to view a map of the highway and share their thoughts with the project team about areas for improvements.
For more information, visit the MnDOT project website and sign up to receive email updates.
