Policy statement
MnDOT will develop and utilize a pilot purchasing program. The objective of this pilot is to provide internal and external customers with materials, equipment, and services in a timely manner at the best cost for the quality required. It also serves to place targeted, economically disadvantaged and local vendors in a better position to compete for MnDOT business. Effective August 1, 1996, through July 31, 1997, the pilot addresses the following areas of interest: local purchasing, commodity contracts, professional and technical service contracts and agreements, equipment purchases, building construction, and ethics.
