MnDOT will resurface and update the Hwy 25 bridge over the Mississippi River in Monticello, includes drainage and sidewalks.

Summary of work

• Resurface the Hwy 25 bridge deck (replace concrete wearing coarse)
• Replace approach panels and joints, along with other bridge repairs
• Widen sidewalks along both sides of the bridge
• Upgrade lighting
• Replace or repair drainage infrastructure

MnDOT will resurface and update the Hwy 25 bridge over I-94 in Monticello in 2027. Estimated cost $4.7 million.

• Resurface the bridge deck (replace concrete wearing coarse)
• Replace approach panels and joints, along with other bridge repairs
• Replace or repair drainage infrastructure

Future traffic impacts

Bridge to remain open with lane closures and changes to access/detour. More to come when known.
