Weekly meeting

The project contractor, Elcor Construction, will be meeting in-person weekly with community members. You are invited to come and ask questions about the project.

Time: Wednesdays at 2 p.m. each week, beginning April 24

Summary of work

Reconstruction of Hwy 57 from the South Branch Middle Fork Zumbro bridge to 9th St. in Mantorville is scheduled to begin April 15, 2024. It is anticipated to be completed late-summer.

Work includes:

  • Reconstructing roadway base
  • Constructing new driving surface
  • Replacing of stormwater pipes
  • Upgrading pedestrian and bike facilities

Traffic impacts

Detour for Hwy 57 Mantorville project.
  • A detour will be in place to route traffic around the project
    • Motorists should use Co. Rd. 12, Co. Rd. 9 and Co. Rd. 16
  • Hwy 57/Main St. bridge has been closed since June 10 and an announcment will be made once it re-opens. Weather has delayed the re-opening of it.
  • Accommodations will be made for people to access destinations along the construction zone, including businesses and homes
  • Locations to cross Hwy 57 within the project will be available but limited
  • Access for emergency services will be maintained and coordinated with officials throughout the project
