There have been two meetings for the Hwy 19 Study in the spring of 2023.
- The first meeting was on April 20 and focused on the western half of the corridor between I-35 and Hwy 13, northwest of the city of Lonsdale. You can review these materials that were shared during the meeting.
- The second meeting was on May 22 and focused on the eastern half of the corridor between I-35 and Hwy 3 toward Northfield. Please review the Northfield meeting materials here. You can provide comments on the comments page.
Through public engagement, data collection and analysis, MnDOT has identified other corridor problems that may be addressed by the mill and overlay project or may be considered for future improvements by MnDOT and study partners. Concepts for these areas, primarily at intersections and sidewalk/trail improvements, have been developed. MnDOT is seeking public input on these concepts.
Online materials will be updated when finalized and postcard invitations and project email/text updates will be sent to community members.
Past public meetings
A virtual public meeting was held on March 2, 2022. The purpose of this meeting was to share background information gathered for the study area and to collect input from the public on transportation issues and concerns that they have along the corridor. This information was collected and used to help develop potential concepts that could be implemented as part of the mill and overlay projects or as potential standalone projects. These concepts will be presented at the April and May 2023 open house meetings.
MnDOT invites and encourages participation by all. If you need an ASL, a foreign language interpreter, or other reasonable accommodation, or need documents in an alternative format (such as braille or large print), please email your request to Janet Miller at ADArequest.dot@state.mn.us or call 651-366-4720.
