About this project
The Hwy 4 project between Sherburn and St. James includes roadway, bridge, and drainage improvements. In addition to resurfacing approximately 25 miles of roadway, the bridge over Cedar Run will be replaced and multiple bridges will be repaired. Pedestrian accommodations in the Cities of Sherburn and Trimont will also be improved.
Summary of work
- Resurface roadway
- Rehabilitate, repair, and replace various bridges throughout the project area
- Replace bridge over Cedar Run
- Repair the bridges over Martin County Ditch #1, Elm Creek, and the Watonwan River
- Repair drainage pipes and culverts
- Update sidewalks and pedestrian ramps to comply with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements through the Cities of Sherburn and Trimont
