History and significance

Bridge 4846 is a Pratt through truss located in Lake Washington Park in Kasota Township in Le Sueur County. Built in 1875, the bridge carries a pedestrian and bicycle path over Shanaska Creek. It is significant as an early truss bridge in Minnesota, and as one of only five extant examples of wrought-iron bridges in the state.
