Lane closures
Fri, Aug. 23 through early November
- WB Excelsior Blvd. is reduced to one lane between Hwy 169 and 5th Ave.
- EB Excelsior Blvd is reduced to one lane between 5th Ave. and Jackson Ave.
Ramp closures
Fri, Aug. 23 through early November
- The ramp from SB Hwy 169 to Excelsior Blvd. is closed
- Blake Rd. detour: EB Hwy 7 to SB Blake Rd. to WB Excelsior Blvd.
- Shady Oak Rd. detour: WB Hwy 7 to SB Shady Oak Rd. (Co. Rd. 61) to EB Excelsior Blvd.
- The ramp from Excelsior Blvd. to SB Hwy 169 is closed
- Detour: NB Hwy 169 to Hwy 7 to SB Hwy 169
Upcoming
Information about upcoming traffic impacts will be posted as details become available. Motorists can expect lane closures on Excelsior Blvd. during construction. Crews will first close the ramps to/from NB Hwy 169 and Excelsior Blvd. then will close the ramps to/from SB Hwy 169 and Excelsior Blvd. These ramp closures will last approximately six weeks each.
About this project
We will replace the signal system and remove the free right turn lanes at the intersection of Hwy 169 and Co. Rd. 3/Excelsior Blvd. in Hopkins. Crews will also construct a center median on Excelsior Blvd. The signals are over 25 years old and need to be replaced.
