Crow Wing County

Hwy 371 will need to span over the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway and Hwy 210. The key question is how motorists will access the interchange and local road system.

In early 2024, we will begin the process to determine design and access solutions, then develop a final concept.

Community feedback and recommendations gained from the 2024 Let's Talk Transportation—Nisswa to Baxter corridor study and the 2021 intersection improvement study will also be instrumental in delivering this project.

When complete, the $58 million Corridors of Commerce-funded project will improve access, safety and traffic flow through the Brainerd Lakes area.

Summary of work

  • Construct a Hwy 371 bridge to span Hwy 210 and the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway
  • Construct ramps/loops to/from the interchange
  • Update underground drainage systems
  • Connect city pedestrian trails and sidewalks
