Lane closures
Mon, April 15 through Fri, April 26; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily
- Hwy 65 is reduced to one lane in each direction between 85th Ave. and 105th Ave.
Mon, April 15 through Fri, April 26; 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly
- Watch for overnight work on driveway culvert replacements south of Bunker Lake Blvd.
Mon, April 22 through Wed, May 1
- Hwy 65 is reduced to one lane of head-to-head traffic in each direction between 181st Ave. and Viking Blvd.
Upcoming
Information about upcoming traffic impacts will be posted as details become available. Motorists can expect head-to-head traffic for installation of box culverts at Coon Creek bridges and in areas of full-depth pavement reconstruction. Single lane traffic on side of the road not under construction and lane closures along the project area.

About this project
We will repair, resurface and replace bridges on more than 19 miles of Hwy 65 from Co. Rd. 10 in Spring Lake Park to 237th Ave. in East Bethel. The work will include resurfacing nearly 16.5 miles of highway. Additionally, we will replace bridges over Coon Creek in Ham Lake and the culverts south of Viking Blvd. and north of Constance Blvd. We will also make full-depth pavement repairs to correct areas of settlement and install high-tension cable median guardrail from Bunker Lake Blvd. to 237th Ave.
Summary of work
- Resurface Hwy 65 between Co. Rd. 10 in Spring Lake Park and 217th Ave. in East Bethel
- Replace bridges over Coon Creek in Ham Lake with with box culverts
- Replace culverts south of Viking Blvd. and north of Constance Blvd.
- Full-depth pavement reconstruction to correct settlement at the following locations:
- North of Viking Blvd. on SB Hwy 65 in East Bethel
- North of 181st Ave. on SB Hwy 65 in East Bethel
- South of 153rd Ave. on SB Hwy 65 in Ham Lake
- South of 153rd Ave. on NB Hwy 65 in Ham Lake
- ADA improvements to bicycle/pedestrian crossings at intersections
- Drainage repairs
- Install cable median guardrail between Bunker Lake Blvd. and 237th Ave.
- Replace signal systems at 85th Ave. and 93rd Ave. in Blaine
- Curb ramp and sidewalk upgrades at several intersections
